Waku Waku 7 (Neo Geo)

Story- 8.0 the story (well Waku balls at least) borrow heavily from the Dragon Ball series, although I am not the biggest fan they used the waku waku balls with DBZ in mind, the story is great for the way the game is meant to be perceived. Its a comical take on fighters, that is meant to be over done, or at least thats my opinion.

Gameplay- 9.0 Regardless of the people who disagree with the games play due to the "cutesy" appearance, the game cannot be stereotyped, its got a great feel that cannot be denied and plays excellently.
Based on "Galaxy Fight" it has a few similarities, but different enough to feel like a completely new game.

Character Design- Excellent, the characters are great concepts for the over all design of the games, look at it as the "bastardized" fighter, it has characters that IMO are cool to downright weird, but it fits the games look and correctly.
Slash-Resembles Link from legend of zelda, and has a sword that resemble a light saber.
Arina-Cutesy girl in the game, one of the main reasons alot of people disliked it, since the character is a bit cutesy, with bunny features, etc.
Fernandez (Also called Fernandeath)- The single most creative boss, which his background has a godilla appeal, that is worth noting, the character is a great addition to SNK's (thanks for the game Sunsoft ) Boss library. And a good challenge as well.
Thats just to name three, the characters are great over all.

Sound-10 The sound in Waku Waku 7 is excellent, music for characters is PERFECT for them, not subpar not decent, PERFECT.
It is a even higher point of a already great game, music for Slash and Dandy J are great.
The hit sound effects are good as well.

Replay-9.0 I gave this a extremely high replay due to it drawing you in.
While many games are good, some people tire of them after beating them, which is the main kill point for certain acclaimed games.

Difficulty-8.0 I am not going to give this the highest rating possible due to the game being easy even on Expert. It could have been a bit harder, but thats the way things are.

Endings 9.0- The endings work well with the comical approach, they work good for the characters, especially Arina and Slash.

Over all- 9.0 If there is one game which shows a amazing amount of creativity. Then it is Waku, while the game does not appeal to all, those with a great eye for good gameplay and excellent control will want to pick this up, I got my MVS copy and do not regret the 75 I paid for it.
