Art of Fighting 2 (Neo-Geo, NGCD)

This game is just scary, it's so good. I purchased this game about three months ago, and played it for the first time. WOW... I didn't know what I was missing. Folks, if you haven't experienced this game yet, pick it up!

Gameplay:
When this game was released, the mighty Street Fighter 2 was STILL ruling the arcades... Of course this game did not make a DENT in SF2 profits, not any more than any of the other Neo games did. HOWEVER, this game is more playable than SF2, the characters have a better "feel" to them...
Art of Fighting 2 is all about the gameplay and the memorable characters. This game is DIFFICULT if you are new to the series. For a special treat (I won't blow it for you), crank the difficulty to the max and beat the game having never lost a single round. One can't forget, either. Unlike the original Art of Fighting, you cannot get by with just jumpkicks!

Graphics:
I mentioned that Street Fighter 2 was STILL ruling the arcades when this was released... Well FINALLY a 2D fighter that looks prettier than the mighty SF2 was here! No one played it, but damn it all, it was here!
Neo fans were treated to huge, detailed characters, memorable backdrops, and superb animation that panned in and out depending on the distance between the fighters. This is something special, friends. SNK could have and should have kept the feel of this game in tact for future version... I can imagine that we'd be up to Art of Fighting 7 on Dreamcast by now...

Sound/Music:
This game's music has it all! That's just all there is to it. The Neo CD version has an ever better soundtrack...
Sound effects are standard SNK fare (damn I'm tired of writing that...)

Replay Value:
You'll find this game somewhere, and proceed to play it at least once a day for the rest of your life!
"And THAT'S and ORDER!" - Thank you Sgt. Slaughter
